Back in 2010 when mobile phones were only WAP-enabled with limited mobile data and wireless capabilities, nextbuses.sg web was launched to provide bus arrival timings to close family and friends quickly using minimized resources. Built with PHP and JSON, this platform helped serve Symbian, Blackberry and Windows Mobile users who had no access to phone applications at that time.

The nextbuses watchapp as published on the pebble app store in 2014, initially built for the Original Pebble (Aplite) platform, it has been constantly updated to support Pebble Steel, Pebble Time, Pebble Time Steel, Pebble Time Round, as well as the Pebble 2. nextbuses has since been featured as one of the Top 5 transit app on the Pebble app store up till today.

Currently, nextbuses.sg serves over 20,000 users every month.
